Spay Jack Russell In Heat?

Dog Question: my jack russell terrier is a year old, she is in heat. how long do i need to wait to have her spayed

Dogs can stay in heat up to three weeks.  After that I would have her spayed.

You are correct in waiting to have your dog spayed, as the surgery is much safer then.
