Dog Ear Infection After Swimming

Dog Question: He has an ear infection from getting water in his ear . Is there a household product i can use  or a cheap fix for it

Sorry to hear about your dog's ear infection. 

I am not aware of any good homemade ear cleaning solutions.  Some people use a mixture of vinegar and alcohol but the alcohol is irritating to the skin.

Go to your local pet store, like PetSmart, they have lots of ear solutions to use.

If the ear infection is mild you might be able to just use cleaning solutions to cure it.

However, if the ear is red and itchy, then you need to get antibiotic drops from your vet.

Also, if your dog has long hair, trim the hair around the ear, so air can get into the ear canal.
