Dog Ate Bird and is Sick

Dog Question: hi my dog eat a bird how he is sick wont eat just drinks water you is throuing up pices of bird i dont have the money for a vet do you know of any thing i can give him

Sorry to hear about your dog.

Your dog should be okay because normally birds should not cause a blockage of the intestines.

It is best not to give your dog anything to eat for the next 12  hours or so.  The vomiting should stop, unless there is something stuck, which is unlikely.

Feathers might because a slight irritation in the throat.

It is important to keep your dog well hydrated and keep plenty of clean water around to drink.

If the vomiting continues for more than 24 hours or becomes lethargic you need to see a vet.

In most cases like this, the vomiting stops quickly.
