Whose mouth has more bacteria, a cat or a human?

Cat Question: I am a 6th grader doing a science fair project "whose mouth has more bacteria, a cat or a human?"  I would like to ask you for my background info.  I will be using agar in my experiment.  Anything you could tell me would be helpful.  thank you, Michelle

Hi Michelle,

I don't know who's mouth is cleaner, my guess is a dogs.

But I know cat's have some dangerous bacteria in their mouth that cause nasty skin infections when they bite other cats or people.

You could research into that.  It might be an interesting angle for the project.

Do some searches for cat bite infections.

Good luck on your project!
