Dog Doesn't Want To Eat and Whines

Dog Question: my dog somtimes doesnt want to eat when she feel like this.she makes wining & crying noises looking at her back end (either her private or her butt).im not sure whats wrong with her.shes done this in the past a couple times. and it has always gone away and shes starts to eat again. what could this be? she does chew & tear up things like her toys and my shoes & somtimes chews on grass and dirt. could she be getting sick from this. please help. she seems like the pain coming from her back end is hurting her. thanks

Sorry to hear about your dog.

It could be from something she's eating, but I think it might be coming from another place.

Sometimes lower back pain, hip pain, or other muscle pain can be severe enough for dogs to now want to eat. 

I would palpate her abdomen and back to see if you can feel anything wrong, or see if you can see where it is painful.

If it continues you need to have her examined by a vet.

Try and figure out if it happens after exercise or after chewing on something.
