Dog Question: i think my dog cut her tongue or inner lip, now there is a mucus foam coming out of her mouth on that side and her breath smells really bad. is this normal and what can i do to help it heal.

Hi Ted,

Sorry to hear about your dog.

If the cut is on the inside of the mouth there is nothing you can do to help it heal.  Unlike exposed skin there are no bandages.

If the cut is severe and bleeding a lot than your dog might need some stitches.  But if it is minor than the bleeding should stop relatively quickly and heal fast.

The foaming might be because your dog does not like the taste of blood and does not want to swallow?  I normally don't see foam with mouth cuts, so if the foam continues see a vet.
