Groomer brushed my Pomeranian's tail right off

Dog Question: A GROOMER JUST BRUSHED MY POMERANIAN'S TAIL COMPLETELY GONE, & TOLD ME SHE WANTS TO SHAVE ALL HER HAIR OFF!  WILL IT GROW BACK?

Sorry to hear about your dog!

If the actual tail itself came off it will not grow back if I understand correctly.  Dogs do not regenerate their appendages.

Hair on the otherhand is a different matter.  It seems all dogs are different.  Many dogs will grow back hair just fine, and some dogs won't.

I've seen hair grow back in a different texture as well.  I don't know why she would want to shave all the hair?
