Female Pomaranian is having the runs and vomiting

Dog Question: I have a female Pomaranian. She is having the runs and vomotting. I called her vet and they can not see her until next thursday. I don't now what to do for her in the mean time. Do you now what is wrong with her. I need help.

Hi Heidi,

Until can see your vet make sure you keep her well hydrated.  Provide lots of fresh water or warm chicken broth.

Also give her some canned food that is warmed up to help stimulate her appetite.

The most important thing is to keep her from getting dehydrated.

From the clinical signs you describe it could be anything.  I would need to examine the dog to narrow down some possibilities.  Did she get into the garbage or eat something that did not agree with her?  Could she have gotten into anything in the yard?
