Female Lab Limping On Left Rear Foot
Dog Question: we have a 2 year old female lab. are we go to
park and running with other dogs come home she lays down then
gets up a while later she is limping and not putting any weight
on left rear foot goes outside starts chasing birds like
nothing wrong
Hi Ricky,
It sounds like it could be knee problem and not a toe
problem. Labs sometimes have problems with their cruciate
ligaments. They tear them. If you do a search on
the internet for this you'll find tons of information on labs
and torn cruciates.
I would have your vet examine the dog's knee.
In the mean time keep your dog lean. Over weight dogs
have more knee problems.
