Dachshund with hurt neck and back not eating

Dog Question: I have a 14 yr old Dauchund that has been very healthy for his age. He is walking around like his neck or maybe hia back hurts he hasnt eaten since yesterday afternoon. and that is not like him to do that. what could be wrong?

Dauchunds, due to their body shape are famous for getting back injuries. 

Their short legs and long backs makes them more prone to back problems.

It sounds like he is in pain, which is why he is not eating.

The back injuries they get can be very serious.  You could try giving him aspirin.

But I would take him to the vet for a physical exam to see if it is truly a back injury.
