9 yr old Schnauzier has multiple bumps

Dog Question: My 9 yr old Schnauzier has multiple bumps that I have been told were fatty cysts. Some have gotten as large as quarters and have ruptured clr fluid then scabbed. Is this normal for this breed? There has been no new shampoo or products to her skin.

Sorry to hear about your dog.

These types of cysts (called cutaneous cysts or follicular cysts) are common in the Doberman, Shih Tzu, and Schnauzer.

So it is common in your breed. 

Most go away on their own, others, if they get too big can be cut off by your vet.
