8yr old mix just diagnosed with Lymphoma stage 2

Dog Question: I have a 8yr old mix,that was just diagnosed with Lymphoma prob stage 2(blood work was fine)the 2 vets in the practice gave us different views about chemo. How harsh is it? Is it possible to put this ito remission for a long period of time? I am so torn, and I don't want to be cruel. Tks

Sorry to hear about your dog.

Fortunately today there are several good treatment protocols for dogs that can cause remission of lymphoma for quite a while.

The severity of the chemo depends on what protocol they use, there are several.  Today most people use a combo therapy which helps to cut down on the side effects.

Your dog is only in stage 2 which is very good, it could have been missed until it was much later.
