11 year old lab retrever, one testicle is noticably
larger and hard, the dog also has been limping
Dog Question: 11 year old lab retriever ,my vet found one
testicle is noticeably larger and hard, than the other, i am
going to have the surgery done to remove both testicles, the
dog also has been limping, it appears his left rear hip hurts,
now is the surgery necessary, and is it possible that the
limping is because the testical hurts, any info is greatly
appreciated, THANKS
Hi Richard,
From what you describe I don't thing the two are
related. Labs are prone to hip and knee problems, so it
is likely separate.
I would have the testicles removed. Although most
testicular tumors (if that is what it is) do not metastasize,
it is not worth taking a chance and it is better to remove
both.
